Doggie Delight: Aussie Dog Birthday Cake Recipe
Exploring a natural and healthy way to feed your loyal furry companion
G'day mates! Today we've got a ripper homemade recipe for your furry mate – a bonza birthday cake!
This recipe is dead easy to whip up, fair dinkum tasty, and top-notch for your pup's health. You can chuck it together for their birthday or any special arvo.
Just remember, these kinds of recipes are like a treat, not to be the mainstay of your dog's tucker.
Ingredients
- 6 tablespoons of plain flour.
- Half a sachet of yeast.
- 2 eggs.
- An unsweetened natural yoghurt.
- A splash of vegetable oil.
- A pack of bacon strips.
- A chicken breast, diced.
- Some Aussie spread like Philadelphia or a meaty paté.
- Doggy treats for decoration.
Directions
- Mixing it up: In a bowl, chuck in the plain flour and crack in the two eggs. Give it a good stir until it's all combined.
- Add the tucker: Chuck in the bacon strips and diced chicken – give it another good mix.
- Yoghurt touch: Pour in the yoghurt and stir it all up until you've got a ripper even mix. Now, add a splash of vegetable oil.
- Into the tin: Shift the mix into a tin – reckon you should give it a spray with oil so it doesn't stick.
- Bake it: Shove the tin in the oven, preheated to 180ºC, for about half an hour. Keep an eye on it, mate – don't want it burnt or different from what you wanted. Oven times can be a bit all over the place!
- Decorate time: Once it's out and cooled, it's time to decorate. Smear on some Philly or your choice of spread. Then, chuck on some doggy treats or bikkies as the icing on the cake.
There you go! Now you've got yourself a homemade and healthy birthday cake for your furry mate. Hope you both have a ripper celebration!
